A&D requires a 100% IBM®-compatible
personal computer with a minimum of 512 kilobytes of electronic memory, one
diskette drive (720 kilobytes or more), and one hard disk.
The hard disk must have one megabyte or more
of free disk space. Five more megabytes are required for each 10,000 individuals
in your A&D databases.
A&D works with DOS, OS/2®, and
Windows® 3.x, 95, 98, NT® or
XP Home Edition. Windows 3.x or higher is required to run A&D
in dual-window mode. Windows 95 or higher is required to run A&D
in quad-window mode. Performance under Windows 98 is superior to that under Windows
NT. A&D does not work with Linux, Solaris, or Windows 2000.
You may install and use A&D on a second computer
(desktop, notebook, or laptop), but you are prohibited from using
A&D on two or more computers simultaneously and
from installing, using, or distributing it on a network.
A parallel printer, with internal fonts for 10, 12, and 17 characters-per-inch
printing, is required to print reports. A&D works with
most general-purpose printers that are compatible with DOS, Linux, Solaris, and
Windows. A&D is not compatible with low-cost, special-purpose
printers that work only with Windows such as most Canon Bubble Jet models.
A&D does not require a mouse, CD-ROM
drive, a modem, or a color printer.
