Notes: The two photos at the right show two views of the 2107 Oak Street house.
The first photo shows the front, North side of the house — with the covered
car port at the left. The second photo shows the Eastern side of the house
with the car port at the right and the detached garage at the left.
The house had a dug-out half basement. Bill and Nora discovered during
their first winter than they had a water leakage problem in the basement.
On a corner lot, this residence had trees, a front lawn, a garden area in back,
and extensive ground cover and climbing ivy on the East side. Bill and Nora
quickly found that the amount of required yard upkeep to be quite overwhelming.
Not inclined to hire an expensive gardener, they soon decided to put this property
back on the market and to look for another, simpler place to live. |
