Notes:  Frank was educated at the public schools of Italy.  There he learned the stone mason trade and worked in Italy and in France.  Frank immigrated to the United States in 1903 and settled in Napa, California.  He then worked for six months as a section hand on the Southern Pacific railroad.  Frank next worked for J. N. Whitmore, a contractor, and was later made foreman.

Frank took over the business after Mr. Whitmore's death in 1910 and operated it continuously for the rest of his life.  Frank constructed two-thirds of the cement sidewalks laid in Napa during the early decades of the 20th century.  He also did the cement work on many of Napa's important structures — including the Napa Hall of Records, the Methodist Church, as well as bridges for the county and much street work for the city of Napa.

In 1942 Frank was described as being 5'5" tall, weighing 165 pounds, and having brown eyes, gray hair, and a dark complexion.  Frank was a member of the Order of Druids and of the Italian Benevolent Society.
