Notes:  Myna was born in Greene county, Iowa, north of Scranton in May 1881.  She moved to Glidden with her parents in April 1885.  She attended school there and was an active worker in the church and Christian Endeavor Society.  At age 15 she went to Denver, Colorado, made her home with her sister Viola, and attended school.  She studied music there and in 1897 returned to Glidden and took a short business course at the Glidden college.

In May 1899 she married Reuben Kelly of Denver.  One child was born to this union, Dorotha Naomi Kelly.  In 1901 Myna became a widow when Reuben died.  With Dorotha she spent the fall of 1902 and the spring of 1903 with her parents in Glidden.  During the summer she left with her daughter for San Pedro, California, and made their home with a sister, Mrs. Viola Westover.

In 1904 Myna married William Nielsen of Los Angeles, California.  The couple had three children and lived in Los Angeles; Goldfield and Tonopah, Nevada; Spokane, Washington; and then White Sulphur Springs, Montana.

On the night of 3 Oct 1918 Dorotha and her sister Ethlyn became very sick with the Spanish influenza.  The next day Myna became ill.  Dorotha died on 11 Oct 1918 and Myna died the next day, 12 Oct 1918.  Dorotha and Myna were both buried in Plot A5 at Mayn Cemetery.  Dorotha was 18½ years old and Myna was 37.  The three small children were also ill but soon recovered.
