Notes: Jean Marie Lacaze, 23, and Mathilda Larré, 26, both natives of France, were married
28 Sep 1905 in New Orleans, Orleans, Louisana. They had a family of four children. In the 1910 U.S. census, Jean M. Lacaze, 28, and Mathilda, 30, were living on St. Claude Street, Police Jury Ward 1, Saint Bernard, Louisiana. Jean was a dairyman on a dairy farm. Their children were Marie, 3, and Henry, 2. Emile Augesot, 25, and Morris McKenner, 44, both dairymen, were living with them. In the 1920 U.S. census, John, 36, and Mathilda , 40, were living at 235 Grant, Napa. John was working in a laundry, and the home was rented. Their children were Marie, 13, Henry, 11, Octave, 8, and Robert J., 11 months. In the 1930 U.S. census, Jean 48, and Mathilda, 50, were living at 1011 Pine, Napa. Jean was still working in a laundry. Their children were Henry, 22, a driver for the Napa Special Delivery, Octave, 19, an ironer in a shirt factory, and Robert, 11. In the 1940 U.S. census, John 57, and Mathilda, 60, were still living at 1011 Pine, Napa. Jean was a farm worker on a fruit ranch. Both had completed 5th grade, and they now owned their home, valued at $2,000. Jean Lacaze died 14 Jan 1945, and Mathilda Lacaze died 19 Feb 1946. They are both buried in the Tulocay Cemetery, Napa, California. | ||||||||||||||||||
