Notes: Sherry married in 1968 about halfway through her senior year of high school in Napa,
California. She and her new husband then lived in Colorado for a time —
because he was stationed at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado,
and worked as a technician/nurse. In 1969 their son was born while they lived on Yajome Street in Napa — and while Sherry's husband was stationed at the San Francisco Presidio. In 1971 their daughter was born while the family lived in Prunedale, California, and while Sherry's husband was stationed at Fort Ord near Monterey, California. His service with the Army ended in 1972 and the family returned to Napa. The family was living in the upstairs of a house on Oak Street in Napa across from Giovannoni's grocery when the parents separated — which was about 1973. After six years of marriage, Sherry and her husband obtained a divorce in 1974 — and then married again three years thereafter. However, they only celebrated their original 1968 wedding date. Though divorced, they were actually separated for only about a year. Their two children originally lived with Sherry at the Oak Street place, and then lived with their father in his apartment. But regardless of which parent they lived with the other was quite involved, so to the children it seemed like there was no real gap. Next, the family moved to an apartment on Main Street in Napa — at the corner of Main and Montclair. The family then moved into a house on Shurtleff Street in Napa on New Year's Eve 1975 and greeted 1976 in a new home. That was their home for 27 years. While in Napa, Sherry's husband's last position was as a psychiatric technician/nurse at the Napa State Hospital — until his medical disability retirement during the 1990s. Sherry and her husband moved to Oroville, California, in 2003. A total of 39 years and two months elapsed from their 1968 marriage until her untimely death in 2007. | ||||||||||||||||
