Notes: Bill Bertram married Bertha in 1915. See the photo at the right. They then
moved to a farm seven miles west of Herman on Highway 27 known as the Cater place.
In 1920 Bill and Bertha were living at Logan, Grant County, Minnesota, with their two
infant children. In 1928 they moved back to the ridge farm called the Aeilts
place. In 1930 Bill and Bertha were living at Logan with their three children.
In 1936 Bill and Bertha bought the Henry Bertram home place that Henry had owned
on five-mile creek, five miles west of Herman, Minnesota, on Highway 27.
See the photo at the left. Bill and Bertha lived on that farm until Bill retired
from farming. They then moved to a house on the west side of Herman.
Berta's obituary (in Source 1422) identified four
daughters and two sons; however, their having six children total has not been verified.
