Notes:
In 1940, William (Bill) and Adelaide married. Both lived in Vallejo, where they made their home
until they moved to Gordon Valley (which is in Napa County, California, near Fairfield) in 1942.
Bill and Adelaide owned and operated a cattle ranch in Gordon Valley. The ranch soon became
a gathering place for five generations of family and many friends — especially during holidays,
roundups, and deer season weekends. In later years, the many family RV outings found some kind
of boat around, a vestige of time spent in the Solano County marshes with their uncles. Family
and friends came first, and Bill was always willing to drop what he was doing to help anyone in need.
