Newspapers.com. The Napa Valley Register (Napa, California), Tue., Jun 11, 2002, p. 10, col.3. PORTOLA Milton "Mac" McDermott, 83, died June 7, while on an extended fishing trip in the Sierra. He was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Napa and was a life long resident. Mac McDermott worked at Mare Island Shipyard and had been retired for more than 30 years. He is survived by his three children: Mike McDermott of Napa, Cary and wife, Sharon, McDermott of Napa and daughter Mary of Redondo Beach. He also leaves four grandchildren: Brandon McDermott, Karlie Krch, Marty McDermott and Nathan McDermott. Mac will always be remembered for his non-judgemental ways and his always-helping people with their "honey-do" jobs. A celebration of his life will be held at the family residence on June 14 between the hours of 3 and 7 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Claffey and Rota Funeral Home. | ||||
