Notes: David V. and Anna E. McNaught arrived in Burlington, Vermont about 1924.
In 1925 they were living at 300 Main Street. In the 1930 USA census
the couple was renting a home at 119 Mansfield Ave. Around 1932 they are found
living at 8 William. In 1936, the Burlington directory
lists them as as living at 12 Ledgemere Street. This became the couple's
long time residence, with the directories listing them here through 1952.
The 1940 USA census lists them at this address, and has them living here in 1935.
David was a New York Life Insurance agent, and Anna was the executive secretary for
the American Red Cross.
In 1948, the Burlington directory lists Jean E. Ichter, Anna's sister, as living
at the couple's address. Jean was a nurse, and had become a teacher.
In 1952, her address changes to Bartlett Bay Road, South Burlington.
After 1952, no further entries are in the Burlington directories for David and
Anna until 1958, when they are listed at the same address on Bartlett Bay Road as
Jean Ichter. |
