Notes: In 1891, John Heslop and Frances (Fannie) Baron* Heslop were living with their
children in Ovingham, Northumberland, England. John, age 38,
had been born in North Whitfield, and was a farmer. Frances, age 35, had
been born in North St. John.... They had three children, all born in
Ovingham. Their daughters Mary J. and Maggie S. were ages 9 and 7
respectively. Their son John Thomas, age 5, had been born 1 Sep 1885, and
christened 11 Nov 1885. Living with the family was Fannie's father,
John Baron*, age 67, who was a shepherd.
In 1901 the family was living in Newcastle upon Tyne in Northumberland.
John was working as a warehouseman for a commercial merchant. Mary and Maggie
were assistant school mistresses, and John Thomas was a clerk for an oil merchant.
*The spelling of Baron may be Barron. |
