Notes: In the 1920 U.S. census, Lee Page and his wife Viola May Lipsey were living at 100 North
Second Street, Alhambra, California. Lee was a teamster, working for the
county. They had four children, namely Louise, age 6, Samuel, age 4½,
Viola, almost 2 years, and John, 7 months.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Lee was a road foreman for the
county. Their home was owned and valued at $6,000. They had a radio.
In 1938, Lee and Viola were registered as Rebublicans at this address.
In the 1940 U.S. census, only John, age 20, was living at home. He was a shipping clerk
for a steel mill, and had completed 4 years of high school. Lee and Viola had both
completed eighth grade. |
