| Notes:  In the 1910 U.S. census, R.O. Richardson, age 43, and his wife Ida Richardson, age 32,
                                  were living in  Hettinger Village, Adams, North Dakota.  He was a grain 
                                  miller.  They had three sons, namely Milo, age 8, Carman, age 5, and Ralph, age 
                                  2.  R.O. and his wife were born in Minnesota; their parents were all natives of 
                                  Norway.  Their sons were all born in Minnesota. 
 In the 1920 U.S. census, the Village was now Hettinger City.  R.O. was milling 
                                  flour.  In the 1925 North Dakota State census, the family was still in Hettinger. 
                                  The 1930 U.S. census gives R.O. the first name of Richard.  He is now a dealer
                                  of farm implements.  They owned their home, which is valued at $4,500. and 
                                  had a radio.  Milo, now 28 and still single, is a salesman of farm machinery. 
                                  Carman is no longer at home, and Ralph, age 22 is not working.
 
 In the 1940 U.S. census, Richard Richardson, now age 73, is farming, and had one year
                                 of college.  His wife Ida, age 62, had completed 8th grade.  Milo, age 38, 
                                 had completed 4 years of college.  He was a manager at a coal company, and earned
                                 $1,800. in the previous year.  He was married.  His wife, Vida, age 37, had
                                 completed 3 years of college.  Their daughter was 7 years old.  There were 
                                 two boarders in the household.  Joe Birkland, age 32, was a high school teacher, 
                                 and Robert Stewart, age 26, was an office clerk.
