Notes: In the 1910 U.S. census, Earl S. Jones, 33, and his wife, Marian,
32, were living in Ayr Twp., Cass, North Dakota. Earl, born
in Wisconsin was a farmer, renting his farm. Marian, born in Canada,
had had four children, three then living. These were Robert L., 9,
Helen, 5, and Margaret, 3, all born in North Dakota.
In the 1920 U.S. census, the family was still in Ayr Twp., Cass County. Earl, 42,
now owned his farm, with a mortgage. Marian, 41, was called Mary, Robert, 18,
was a farm laborer on the farm, and all of the children, Helen C., 14, Margery E., 12,
and their youngest daughter Marian A., 5, were attending school. |
