Notes: In the 1920 U.S. census, George, 32, and Emma Burk, 31, were living in Dewey Twp.,
Foster, North Dakota. They had a daughter, Phyllis, 6, and a son, Maynard, 5.
George was unemployed. He died 8 Nov 1922.
In the 1925 North Dakota State census, Emma, 36, was living with her two children,
Phyllis M., 12, and Maynard, 10 in the small community of Juanita, Foster
County. In the 1930 U.S. census, the family
was living in the Florance Twp., Foster County. Emma, 41, was a boarding
housekeeper. She owned their residence, valued at $2,500. The children were
17 and 15 years.
Emma died 5 Jan 1935. Both she and her husband George are buried in the Grace
City Cemetery, Grace City, Foster, North Dakota. |
