Notes: In the 1920 U.S. census, Joseph Palzkill, 42, and his wife, Clara E Palzkill, 41,
were living with their seven children in Kendall Twp., Lafayette, Wisconsin.
These were Bernard N., 14, Albert N., 13, Anna E., 11, Francis P., 8, Herman J., 6,
Agnes J., 4, and George H., 1. Joseph was a farmer, they owned the farm, and
all had been born in Wisconsin.
In the 1930 U.S. census, the family was still farming. Sons Bernard, 25, and
Albert, 23, were listed as farm laborers. The family did not have a radio.
In the 1940 U.S. census, most of the children had left the home. Albert, 33,
was listed as head of the household, and a farmer. Joe, 61, and Clara, 62 were
listed with no occupation. Herman, 27, was listed as an unpaid family worker.
