Notes: In the 1905 Kansas State census, Edgar Bremerman, 32, born in Ohio, and his wife, E. J.
Bremerman, 32, born in Kansas, were living in Blaine Twp., Ottawa, Kansas. Their
children, all born in Kansas, were Harold J., 5, Alva E., 4, Floyd G., 2, and Agnes G.,
5 months. Living with family was her mother, Agnes Gawith, 71, born in England.
Edgar was farming, and had no employees.
In the 1910 U.S. census, Edgar C., 37, was still farming in Blaine Twp. on his own account.
His wife, Emily J., 37, had now had six children, all of whom were living. These were
Harold J., 10, Alvea E., 9, Floyd G., 7, Agnes E., 5, James H., 2, and Avis A., 1 2/12/
Agnes Gawith, 76, was still living with the family.
In the 1915 Kansas State census, Blaine Twp., E.C., 32 was still farming. His wife E.J.,
42, had had one last child. The children were Harold J., 15, Alva E., 14, Floyd G., 12,
Agnes, 10, James H., 7, Avis E., 6, and Judson, 7 months. Her mother Agnes Gawith is
no longer listed.
In the 1920 U.S. census, Blaine Twp., Edgar C., 47, and Emily J., 47, still had all children
living at home. These were Harold J., 20, Alva E., 19, Floyd G., 17, Agnes E., 15,
James H., 12, Avis E., 10, and Judson, 5.
Emily died 18 Apr 1940, and Edgar died 8 Sep 1962. Both are buried in
Highland Cemetery,
Minneapolis, Kansas. Also buried there are their sons Harold, Alva, James and Judson, and
daughter Avis, along with their spouses. |
