Notes: In the 1925 Kansas State census, C.E. Wayland, 37, and his wife Jennie, 39, both
born in Kansas, were living in Minneapolis, Ottawa, Kansas. C.E. was a salesman. Their
children were Melvin, 16, student, Waldine, 15, student, Forrest, 12, student, and Thaddia, 5.
All the children had been born in Kansas, except Forrest, who was born in Oklahoma.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Claude E. Waylan, 43, and his wife, Jennie B., 44, were living at 705
Rothsay Avenue, Minneapolis, Kansas. Claude was a traveling salesman. The children
were Waldene W., 20, an auto mechanic, Forrest W., 17, in school, and Thaddia L., 10, in school.
Living with the family was his brother, Paul E. Waylan, 25, born in Kansas, manager of a
Cheverolet garage. |
