Notes: In the 1920 U.S. census, Joseph T. Bell, 42, and his wife, Rosetta Bell, 43,
were living in Blaine Twp., Ottawa, Kansas. Joseph, born in Illinois, was a farmer,
and owned the farm with a mortgage. Rosetta, no occupation, was born in Kansas. Their children
were Russell B., 18, born in Illinois, and Freeda P., 18, born in Kansas. Neither attended
school that year.
In the 1925 Kansas State census, Blaine Twp., Route # 3, Joseph, 47, and Rosetta, 48, were still farming,
and owned the farm with a mortgage. Freda P., 20, was a telephone operator for the telephone company.
Enumerated next was their son Russell B. Bell, 24, with his wife, Dorris M., 18, and daughter
Marjorie A., 10 months Russell was a farmer, and was renting. |
