Lincoln, Nevada. His parents were Christina Peter Ronnow and Laurine Emilie Hansen. Sarah
Margaret Atchison was born 29 Jan 1884 in Snowflake, Navajo, Arizona. Her parents were William
Stanton Atchison and Mary Eliza Lee. Erastus and Sarah were married 30 Sep 1904 in Provo, Utah,
Utah. They had a family of five children.
In the 1910 U.S. census, Erastus F. Ronnow, 35, born in Nevada, and his wife,
Marguerite S. Ronnow, 26, born in Arizona, were living in Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada. Erastus
was a teamster, and they owned their house, free of mortgage. They had been married five
years, and Marguerite had had three children, all then living. These were William E., 5,
Estesbrook J., 3, and Daniel C., 8 months. The children had all been born in Nevada.
In the 1920 U.S. census, Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada, Erastus F. Ronnow, 41, and Maggie A., 35, had five
children. These were Erastus W., 14, Jay E., 13, Daniel C., 10, Lillith M., 8, and Gordon F.,
3. All but the youngest child were in school. Erastus was a farmer, farming on his own
account.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Panaca,Kincoln, Nevada, Erastus F. Ronnow, 53, and Maggie A., 45, had three
children still living at home. These were Dan C., 21, Lilith, 18, and Gordon, 14. Erastus
was a flagman for a steam railroad, and they owned their home, value $1500. Their daughter Lilith
was a bank clerk. They did not own a radio set.
In the 1940 U.S. census, Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada, Erastus F. Ronnow, 62, and Maggie, 57, were living
in the same house as in 1935, identified as being on D Street. Erastus was now a farmer.
Their two children still at home were were Bud, 33, a bartender in a saloon, and Gordon, 22, a truck
driver in the mining industry. |
