Washington, Utah She was a nurse working in a private home. She owned the residence free of mortage.
Three of her children were living with her. Nancy L., 24, born in Utah, was a sales woman in a drugstore.
Marelos, 18, born in Mexico, was a laborer on a general farm. Hazel, 17, born in Mexico, had no occupation.
The census records the immigration date of Morelos and Hazel as 1914. Some records report that the family
returned from Mexico in 1912.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Nancy, 66, and her son Morelos, 28, were living on First West. She owned the
house valued at $600. Nancy had no occupation, and was listed as widowed, even though her husband was still
alive. Morelos was a laborer, skip loader.
In the 1940 U.S. census, Nancy, 77, listed as married, was living alone. She owned the house, valued at $650.,
which was her residence in 1935. She had completed 8 years of school, and had income other than from a wage.
Nancy died 7 Feb 1950 in Hurricane, Washington, Utah. She is buried in the Virgin Cemetery, Virgin,
Washington, Utah. |
