Notes: Faye Findlay was born 26 Sep 1900, in Lincoln County, Nevada. She was the fourth
child of Francis Clemons Walker, Jr., and Harriet Ellen Wadsworth. Her older
brothers were Owen Francis, born in 1896, and Rumell Harold, 1897, and older sister Eola, 1899.
Her younger brothers were Arville Lazell, born in 1902, and Clemons Elmer, 1909. In the 1910 U.S. census, the family was living in Pioche, Lincoln, Nevada. Her father Frank was a mechanical engineer. The children were Owen, 14, Harold, 12, Eola, 10, Fay, 9, Arville, 8, and Elmer, 6 months. All but the baby were in school. Faye's brother Earl Wadsworth (Bill) was born in 1914, and sister Irene in 1919. Faye married Albert Henry Findlay on 17 Jun 1918 in Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada. Their first child Clifford Owen was born in 1919. In the 1920 U.S. census, they were living with his parents, David and Elizabeth Findley. Albert was a farmer. Adding to their family, Vivian Bert was born in 1921, Lee Walker, born in 1925, died in 1926, and Ellen Marie, was born 1927. In the 1930 U.S. census, Albert and Faye were living on County Road, Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada. Albert was a general farmer, and they owned their home, valued at $1800. They did not have a radio set. Their children were Clifford, 10, attending school, Vivian, 8, and Ellen M. 2. Two more children were added to the family. These were Jack Reed and Enid Eola. In the 1940 U.S. census*, Albert and Fay were living on 4th Street, Panaca, Lincoln, Nevada. This was the same house as in 1935, which they owned, valued at $800. Albert was still farming. Faye had completed three years of highschool. Their children were Clifford, 20, a farmer, Vivian 18, a new worker for N.Y.A., Ellen, 12, Jack, 8, and Enid, 5. At some point in time, Faye and Albert moved to Grants Pass, Josephine, Oregon. Faye died 3 Feb 1966 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. Her last residence is listed as Grants Pass, Oregon. She is buried in the Panaca Memorial Park, Panaca, Nevada. *The 1940 U.S. census lists Albert as "Findlay Albert", and gives the entire family the surname of Albert. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
