Notes:  Mildred Houze Taggart was born 23 Jan 1902 in Farnhan, Quebec.  Her parents were William John Taggart, born in Smith Falls, Ontario, and Maud May Houze, born in Lombardy, Ontario.  In 1906, the family was living in Brandon, Manitoba.  Mildred was 4 years old and she had a brother Raoul, age 8.  Her father worked for the Canadian Pacific Railroad.  In 1916, the family was living at 230 Princess Ave., Brandon.  Mildred, now 14, had a younger brother Lyle, age 4.  Her father and older brother Raoul were listed in the census as soldiers. Mildred married Herbert Stewart on 5 Jul 1922 in Brandon.  They are seen at right on their wedding day at 230 Princess, Brandon, Manitoba.  They had one daughter.  Cir 1940, the family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia.  Herbert died 17 May 1943 in Vancouver.  Mildred remarried to Thomas Alexander, who also preceded her in death.  Mildred died 16 Jun 1973 in Vancouver General Hospital, followed by creamation.  At the time of her death her residence was #5-1009 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver.  She had hepatitis, and cause of death was acute yellow atrophy of the liver.
