Notes: Charles Watson Noble and Grace Dorthea Kincaid were married on 11 Mar 1916 in Santa
Barbara County, California. In Jun 1917, when Charles
registered for the draft, they were living on 4th Avenue in the City of Los
Angeles; he listed himself as a chauffeur. In the 1920 USA census, they were
living at 3101 Normandy Avenue, Los Angeles, California. Their
first daughter, Margery Ann, was 4 months old. Charles was an auto mechanic.
In 1930, Charles and Grace were living at 4652 Oak Grove Circle, Los Angeles.
The family now included two more daughters. They owned their home and had a
radio. Charles was now the auto shop foreman.
In the 1940 USA census, the family was still living on Oak Grove Circle, and Charles
was still the shop foreman. The census reports that they had both completed the
1st year of college. They owned their home, worth $5,000.
Charles died 7 Jul 1974. Grace died 21 Oct 1983. Both are buried in the
Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, California. |
