Notes: Norbert (Bert) Camden and Eloise Detwiller were married 16 Jul 1937 in the office of
F. W. Goodalel, Justice of the Peace, Duwamish, King, Washington.
Amy Miller and Gene Miller were witnesses. In the Washington,
City Directory, 1938 and 1939, Norbert and Eloise were listed at
434 Warren Avenue, Seattle. Bert was a carpenter. In the 1940
city directory, they were living at 11201 10th Avenue SW, Seattle. Bert is
listed as a serviceman for the Dictaphone Corp.
The 1940 U.S. census lists Bert as head of the household, that includes his wife Eloise,
first daughter, 11 months old, and his father-in-law, W. G. Detwiller. A second
daughter was born in 1945. At some point in time, the couple made their home in
Sequim, Clallan, Washington.
Eloise died 26 Feb 1976, at the age of 61, in Sunnyside, Yakima, Washington.
Bert died 11 October 1985, at the age of 72, in Sequim. Both are buried in
the Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Yakima, Washington. |
