Notes: William Walton and Myrtle May Strome were married 10 Dec 1931 in Englefeld,
Saskatchewan. William's first wife Dorothy had died in 1928, leaving him with four
children to raise. These were Betty, Bill, Joan and Kay. To this family they
added Gordon and David.
In 1941, Myrtle and William moved to White Rock, British Columbia, where they bought a garage.
After retirement, they are found in the Canada Voters Lists, New Westminster electoral district, in
1957 and 1958 at 16613 Campbell River Road, seen at right. Their residence was torn down in
1962 to make room for the King George Highway. They are listed at 15161 Prospect Avenue,
Surrey electoral district, in 1968, 1972, and she, after his death, in 1974.
William died 29 Mar 1972 in White Rock, British Columbia. Myrtle died 28 May 1996 in
the hospital in White Rock. Their burial place is unknown. |
