Death: FRANCIS (FRANK) WALKER BISHOP

Francis (Frank) Walker Bishop, 77, died May 10, 1994 at his home in Springville, Utah, surrounded
by loved ones.
He was born May 29, 1916 in Delta, Utah to John Avery and Lemira L. Walker Bishop. He married
Cleo Thorpe on August 25,
1943; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a veteran of World War II. While
serving in Europe as a medic, he was wounded in combat. He is a past commander of the American Legion. He was a
high priest and served in various positions in the LDS Church. We remember with fondness his great love for the out-of-doors,
his honesty, his great physical strength and his commitment to his family and occupation. He was a loyal employee at
Johnson Tire Service for over 30 years.
He worked hard to serve others and provide for his family. He was an avid fisherman and dedicated farmer. He took pride
in growing impeccable produce.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Cleo Thorpe Bishop and eight children, Ann Jacobs (John), Silverton, Colo.;
Bonnie Jacobs (Will), Payson, Ut.; F. Avery Bishop (Yoko Takeda), Seattle, Wash.; Clark T. Bishop (Nora Holdaway), Orem;
Gerald J. Bishop (Kayleen DeCoursey), Tucson, Ariz.; Wallace E. Bishop (Denise Breuninger), Springville; Barbara Bishop
(Brent Pace), Los Angeles, Calif.; Mary Price (Jeffery), Kaysville; 28 grandchildren; a brother, M.M. Bishop (June) and two
sisters, Ave Losee (Cecil) and Ora Mae May. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 1994, 11 a.m., in the Hobble Creek LDS Chapel, 1965 East Canyon Road,
Springville. Friends may call on Friday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville
or one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
