Mrs. Frederick (Martha) Detwiller Obituary
| Mrs. Fredrick (Martha) Detwiller. Martha Jane, age 90, died Sunday, August 30, 1970 in Fargo. The funeral was held in the Pres. Ch. here Weds. with Rev. S. Kenneth Nelson officiating. Mrs. Detwiller was born May 16, 1880 at St. Marys, Ont. Can, daughter of the late William and Ellen Armstrong and came here in 1913. She was married to Fredrick Detwiller Mar 15, 1916 at Cooperstown. They farmed north of Cooperstown until his death in 1938. She was a life member and past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Pres. Ch. here. Mrs. Detwiller is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Lenore) Paintner of Hannaford, N.D., 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one brother, William A. Armstrong. |
