| Obituary Andrew Jackson Blad, [89, passed away Monday in Hurricane. He was born Jan 7, 1922, in] Caliente, NV to Carl Levi and Addie Minerva Hamblin Blad. He married Alda Mae Bradshaw on May 19, 1944. He later married Wanda Walker. Andrew worked as a Coca Cola driver then at the Nevada Test Site. He helped start the Little League program in Lincoln County. Andrew loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and always supported the local sports programs especially when his children were involved. He is survived by a sister, Theda Bowler; his children, Jack Andrew (Danna) Blad, Lee R. (Connie) Blad, Kristie (Dave) Kenny, Leslie Gus Blad; stepchildren, Becky (Steve) Beisinger and Roger Neukam; 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, spouses and son, David Allen Blad. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Caliente LDS Chapel, Caliente, NV. There will be a viewing from 9:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the Chapel. Interment will take place in the Panaca Cemetery, Panaca, NV. |
