Ethelyn Johnson
      MESA - Ethelyn Johnson, 88, a homemaker, died July 30, 1985, in Mesa.  Mrs. Johnson was born in Mexico and moved to Arizona 65 years ago from Texas.  She was a volunteer with the Red Cross in Phoenex during World War II.  In the 1950s, Mrs. Johnson and her husband were house parents at Arizona Boys Ranch in Queen Creek.  They both started working in the Arizona Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1960.  She served on three LDS missions, was a Relief Society secretary, visiting teacher, primary teacher and organist, all at her church.  Survivors include her daughters, Ethelyn J. Madsen, Priscilla J. Cahoon, Leah A. Arnett, Karen C. Eastwood and Joyce; sons, William, Leonard, Anthony and Dean; two sisters and three brothers; 69 grandchildren, 150 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way.  Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Mesa 13th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 316 S. LeSueur, Mesa."
