Notes: Thomas bought this 10-acre property while he was still living in Canada.
He was probably attracted to it by the dramatic promotional advertising done by
the owners of the Maywood Colony near Corning, California.
It is likely that Thomas and Mary Anne never lived on this land, but instead
bought it as an investment rather than a residence. Thomas purchased it
for $500.00 and sold it for $1800.00 about 4½ years later.
The lot is East of Illinois Avenue, West of Indiana Avenue, North of Dakota Avenue,
and South of Ohio Avenue. |
