Notes: The 338 Almeria Avenue house in Granada was built in 1909. It was
one of the first houses in the town.
It was built on spec as a hotel by Charles Hudson, but he changed his mind
and rented it out. Frank Hancock was the first resident; he rented and
lived in the house with his family for one or more years. The left photo shows the 338 Almeria house in its more recent 2004 condition. The middle photo shows the yard and the barn. The right photo shows the ocean view out of the second story window.
The exact addresses where Frank and Carrie resided from 1920 to 1951/1952 remains to be determined. When Frank died in 1951 he and Carrie were living at "Alemia Street" per his death certificate. However, "Alemia" may be a misspelling of "Almeria". Carrie vacated their last house in 1952. | ||||||||||||||||
