Notes: Charles spent 4 years as a fireman in the U.S. Navy, probably from about 1908
to 1912. He married Ethel in about 1912. They then lived in Sebastopol
and Petaluma, California, for several years. In 1917 he was described as being of medium height, medium build, with brown eyes, and black hair. He then worked as a conductor on the Petaluma railroad. Charles then lived in Calistoga, California, for his remaining years. There he continued to work as a railroad conductor. He died young at age 27 years, 7 months, 22 days when his children were small. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
