![]() ![]() On 16 Oct 1940 when Dave registered for the WW II draft, they were living at 7615 Sand Point Way, Seattle, King, Washington. He was employed by Pan American Airways. Dave and Roberta retired to Fort Bragg, California, in 1947 and purchased 0.15 acres of land there. The address was probably 32584 Casa Del Noyo Drive, where they built a concrete block house. Dave then talked his brother Simon into joining him, buying a fishing boat, going into the commercial fishing business, and operating out of Noyo harbor. The venture failed, however, when Simon got deathly sea sick every time they went fishing. However, until 1948, Dave and Roberta frequently vacationed with Simon and Bess in the latter's cabin cruiser on trips on the Napa, Sacramento, and San Joaquin rivers. In the 1950 USA census, David T. Williams, 45, and Roberta Williams, 60, were living in Ten Mile River, Mendocino, California. He was the manager of a stationary airport, for S.W. Air Ways. Roberta died 19 Apr 1978 at the Sherwood Oak Health Ctr., Fort Bragg, at age 90. Cremation followed at Ukiah, Mendocino, California. | ||||||||||||||||||||
