Notes: Clyde and Edith married in 1907 in the city of Napa, California, and resided at
Spenser Street in Napa while Clyde worked as a clerk. In 1910, Clyde and his family
were living on Browns Valley Road while he was working out as a farm laborer.
Their first three children were born in Napa. See the two photographs at the right. In 1913 the family moved to Alberta, Canada, where their son Herb was born and where they homesteaded land for six years. See the two photos at the left below. After returning to Napa in 1920, Clyde and Edith bought a ranch at Yountville, California — which they operated for the remainder of their lives. The photograph at the right shows Edith with daughters Pauline and Bethel circa 1926. The photograph at the left shows Clyde and Edith (between George W. and Edith Samuels) in 1941 with the rest of the Samuels family. Clyde and Edith's marriage lasted for 57½ years. During the last 28 of those years the family home was at 6392 St. Helena Highway, Yountville. | ||||||||||||||||||
