Cards Reveal Engagement of Local Couple
Attractive Miss Natalie Beland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Beland, and Milton McDermott, son of Mr. Martin McDermott of this city, revealed their engagement this week with engraved white cards received through the mail.
The bride-elect, who is now wearing a lovely diamond ring, is a graduate of the Napa high school with the class of '41.  While in school she was active in student body affairs and during her sevior year was yell leader.  Miss Beland has two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Shurtleff and Mrs. Frank Hughes, and two brothers, Arthur Beland and Armond Beland.
An employee of Mare Island Navy Yard, the benedict-elect has a sister, Mrs. Pearl Peterson.  Like his bride, he attended Napa high, and was graduated in 1937.
Wedding plans are still in the formative stage.
