Notes: Isaac and Elizabeth Rushworth immigrated to the United States from England,
arriving aboard the S.S. Spain in New York on 3 November 1879. Accompanying
them were two sons, Orland Nelson, age 2, and Frank, an infant. In 1900,
they were living in Jamestown, Chautauqua, New York, now with five children.
These were Nelson, age 23, Frank, age 21, Ethel, age 18, Annie, age 16, and Raymond,
age 12. Isaac had become a citizen, and was a machinist.
The 1901-1902 Jamestown City Directory reports that O. Nelson had become a cashier at
the Farmers and Mechanics Bank at 215 Main Street.; Frank had become a machinist,
as was his father. By 1903, Ethel was employed, and Annie was employed as a clerk.
O. Nelson married in 1905, leaving the household. In 1907, Isaac and his son
Frank were doing business as machinists as Rushworth & Son.; Annie was now a bookkeeper,
and Raymond was a jeweler. Isaac died in 1907.
In 1920, Elizabeth is listed in the Jamestown City Directory as the widow of Isaac.
Frank was running the machinist business, and Raymond was listed as a watchmaker.
