Notes: In the 1910 USA census, Victor Nordstrom and his wife Ida were living at 7415 Latona
Avenue, Seattle, Washington. Victor and Ida were from Sweden; Victor was a house
carpenter. Their children were Lily, 7, John, 5, James, 3 years, and Lloyd, 9
months. Victor died 22 Dec 1919 at the age of 38, and is buried in the
Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park, Seattle.
In the 1920 USA census, Ida was now a widow at the age of 42. She was doing
laundry. The children were Lilly, 16, Phillip, 14, (not John as in the 1910
census), James, 12, and Lloyd, 10 years. The three boys were all selling
newspapers.
In the 1930 USA census, Ida was not working, and Lilly was no longer at home.
Phillip, 25, was an auto mechanic, Arthur V. (not James), 21, was a 'caddy worker?', and
Lloyd, 20, was an office supply salesman.
In the 1938 Seattle, Washington, City Directory, Lloyd and his wife Jane were
living in the home. Lloyd was a salesman for the M&S Co.
The 1940 USA census reports that Ida had become a naturalized citizen, and had an
8th grade education. She was now living alone. Ida died 9 Dec 1958 at
the age of 81. She is buried with her husband in the Evergreen Washelli Memorial
Park. |
