Notes: In the 1900 U.S. census, John Olson, 40, and his wife Mathilda, 34, were living in
Cooperstown, Griggs, North Dakota. John, born Sep 1859 in Sweden, had immigrated to
the United States in 1880, and was a naturalized citizen. He was a section
boss for the railroad. Mathilda, born Feb 1866 in Norway, had had three children, two
of whom were living. They had been married eight years, and were renting a house.
Their children were Arthur T., 6, born Aug 1893 in North Dakota, and Esther M., 4, born
Mar 1896 in North Dakota.
In the 1910 U.S. census, John S. Olson, 50, and his wife Mathilda, 44, were living in
Cooperstown Ward 1. Mathilda had immigrated to the United States in 1882. John
was still a section boss for the railroad. The children were Arthur T., 16, and
Esther M., 14. |
