Notes: Thomas Eagar and Vera Hinton were married 25 Sep 1918 in the St. George LDS Temple,
St. George, Washington, Utah. During the first thirty-two years of their marriage they lived
in several different houses in Hurricane, Washington, Utah.
In the 1920 U.S. census, Thomas, 21,
and his wife Vera, 20, were living on 3rd West Street, Hurricane.
Thomas was a sheepherder, and they were renting a room from her parents, Thomas and Wilhelmina Hinton.
Thomas and Vera had two sons who died young. These were Dilworth Hinton, born 1920, died 1929, and
Alden, born 1923, died 1926.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Thomas, 31, and his wife Vera, 30, were living at 146 Grave Yard Lane, Hurricane.
They owned the home, valued at $950. Thomas was a sheepherder. They had two daughters, Barbara, 3, and
Melba, 2.
In the 1940 U.S. census, Thomas, 41, and his wife Vera, 40, were living in the same home in Hurricane as in
1935. Thomas was a janitor for the local church. Their children were Barbara, 13, Melba, 12, Lenna, 9,
Nedra, 7, and Delwin, 1.
The family moved to Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada in 1955. |
