Notes: Nellie was born in 1 Feb 1882 in Texas. Her parents were Lester and Marion Griswold. Nellie was the second of six children. In the 1900 U.S. census, she was living with her parents and siblings in Dickinson Valley, Stark County, North Dakota. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Notes: Nellie married Andrew F. Noble on 10 Oct 1901, in Dickinson, Stark, North Dakota.
Their first child Vida was born in Jul 1902. The family moved from North Dakota
to Jefferson City, Oklahoma, where Maurice was born in Jul 1904. They later
spent a couple of years in California, always returning to North Dakota.
Kenneth was born in May 1906. and Nellie in Jan 1907. In the 1910 U.S. census, Nellie and Andrew were living with their four* children in the New England Township, Hettinger County, North Dakota. In the 1915 North Dakota State census, the family was living in the Village of Mott, Hettinger County. Nellie had been born in Jan 1911 and Virginia in Mar 1915. In the 1920 U.S. census, the entire family is found in the Village of Mott, Hettinger. In the 1925 North Dakota State census, Vida was no longer living at home. Andrew died in 1927, and in 1930, Nellie was living with son Kenneth and daughter Virginia in Mott, Hettinger, South Dakota. She and Kenneth were both auditors for Hettinger County. She is not found in the 1940 U.S. census. Nellie died 13 Dec 1970 in Temple City, California. Memorial services were held 15 Dec 1970 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Mott, the Rev. Edward C. Pecock officiating. She was buried in the Sunnyslope Cemetery, Mott, North Dakota, alongside her husband. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
