Notes: Paul Noble Dean was born 22 Nov 1901, in Ontario, San Bernardino, California. He was the oldest of five children of William Dean and Robina Noble. His brother Fred was born in 1903, Walter in 1905, and sister Marion in 1908. At the right Paul, Fred and Walter are seen parading on a 4th of July in Ontario. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In the 1910 U.S. census, Paul's family was living at 809 West "D"
Street, Ontario. His youngest brother William was born in 1911. The
entire family is together in the 1920 U.S. census. The photograph at right
shows him with his cousin Don Olson on the top of Mt.
San Antonio (Mt. Baldy) in 1922. In the 1930 U.S. census,
Paul was rooming with George and Caroline Frier, their son
Charles, and daughter Dorothy, at 115 Collins Street, Village of Scotia, Schenectady,
New York. He and Dorothy were married just 2 months after the census was taken.
In 1935 and 1936, they were living at 220 Second Street, Scotia, Schenectady, New York.
In the 1940 U.S. census, Paul and Dorothy were living at 511 Charles Street, Glenville, New York. They had two daughters, ages 4 and 1. Paul was a mechanical engineer employed by General Electric. He had four years of college, and had earned $3,500. in the prior year. The family moved to Pennsylvania, where Paul was still employed as an engineer for General Electric. The Erie, Pennsylvania, City Directories for the years 1946 through 1954 lists their address as 619 Howe Avenue, Lawrence Park, a first class township in Erie County, Pennsylvania. Paul and Dorothy returned to Southern California, where Paul continued as a mechanical engineer in the electric manufacturing industry. Paul's last residence was in Upland, San Bernardino, California. He died 24 Oct 1969, and is buried in Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario, California. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
