Notes: Paul Noble Dean married Dorothy Eloise Frier on 14 Jun 1930 in Schenectady County,
New York.
In the 1930 U.S. census taken two months earlier in April, Paul was a roomer with
Dorothy's family. They are seen at right in 1935 on a visit to his brother
in Washington.. In 1935 and 1936, Paul and Dorothy were living at 220 Second
Street, Scotia, Schenectady.
In the 1940 U.S.census, Paul and Dorothy were living in Glenville, Schenectady.
They had two daughters, namely Joan, age 4, and Margaret, age 1. [Note: The
1940 U.S. census record has the names of the two daughters reversed.]
Paul was a mechanical engineer working for General Electric. Their older daughter
Joan probably died at an early age, as she is not mentioned in family records.
The family moved to Pennsylvania, where Paul was still employed as an engineer for
General Electric. The Erie, Pennsylvania, City Directories for the years 1946
through 1954 lists their address as 619 Howe Avenue, Lawrence Park, a first class
township in Erie County, Pennsylvania. The family is seen at left on a visit to
relatives in Southern California in 1947.
The family eventually moved to Southern California, where they made their home
in Upland, San Bernardino, California. Paul died 24 Oct 1969, and Dorothy died
30 Oct 1983. Both are buried in Bellevue Memorial Park,
Ontario, California. |
