Notes:   William David Harvey was born 14 Feb 1912 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  His parents were David Harvey and Ann Jane Detwiller.  He had a younger brother, Robert Hamilton born in 1913.  His father was a farmer.  In 1916, the family was living in Portage la Prairie.  The household included his maternal grandmother Elizabeth Detwiller, and his aunt Elizabeth Detwiller Wilson. William's family moved to British Columbia.  In the 1921 Canada census, they were living on Amelia Street in the Village of Sidney on the North Saanich Peninsula.  David was 9 years, and his father was still a farmer. William married Margaret, date and place unknown.  They had five children, and made their home in British Columbia.  William died 24 Jan 1993 in British Columbia.
