Notes:  Doris Eva Rochon was born 17 Aug 1928 in Canada.  Her parents were Ira Benjamin Rochon and Violet Irene Malott.  They moved to Washington. In the 1930 U.S. census, Doris, 1 10/12, was living with her family at 2330 Orleans St., Bellingham, Whatcom, Washington.  Her father Ira was a mule driver in the coal mines. She had a sister, Betty J., 5 months, born in Washington. In the next ten years, her family had several Bellingham addresses.  Her father Ira worked for the Bellingham Coal Mines, and his job description was variously switchman, switcher, and miner. In the 1940 U.S. census, the family was living at 1310 McKenzie Road, Bellingham.  Doris, 11, had completed 5th grade; Her sisters now included Betty Jean, 10, Messia K., 8, and Constance O., 7.  Her father Ira was a tunnel worker in the mines. Doris married Kenneth Quinton Miller on 23 Jul 1955 in Los Angeles County, California.  The marriage produced two children, a daughter and a son.  In 1962, the family was living at 226 E. Johnson, Compton, Los Angeles, California.  Her husband Kenneth was an assembler for General Motors at the plant in nearby South Gate. Doris died 27 Jun 1978 in Los Angeles County, California.  Her burial place is unknown.
