Notes: Frank Vernon Carr, 20, married Inez Grace Dyer, 19, on 28 Feb 1940 in
Los Angeles County, California. In the 1940 U.S. census, Frank and Inez were living at
1011 N. Spazier Avenue, Burbank, Los Angeles, California. They owned their home with
a value of $4,000. Frank had completed 2 years of college and was an office clerk
for an aircraft manufacturing firm. He had earned $950 in the prior year. Inez
had completed one year of high school.
Frank registered for the WWII draft on 16 Oct 1940. He was living
in Burbank with his wife Inez and employed by Lockheed Aircraft.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army on 18 Jul 1944, and described his occupation at the time
as a foreman in manufacturing.
Frank and Inez had one son, Frank Steven Carr. The family moved to Littlerock in the
Antelope Valley of Los Angeles County, where Frank helped manage the family's pear ranch.
In 1948 and 1950, Frank and Inez were registered as Republicans living at 82nd st East,
Littlerock. In 1952 their address was 138 hwy near 75 st.
Inez died 26 Jan 1983 in Los Angeles County, California. She is
buried in the Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale, California. Frank went on
to marry a second time to Dorothy Eleanor Peterson Barrett.
