Notes:  According to a newspaper account, Milton Finley Curtain and Dora Georgia Hildebrand were married quietly, date unknown, in Santa Ana, California, and traveled to San Francisco and Seattle on their honeymoon in August 1909.  *The FamilySearch index to marriages gives a marriage date of 2 Jan 1908, county not determined.
In the 1910 USA census, Milton and Dora were living with Milton's family at 937 Francisco Street in Los Angeles.  Milton was working as a salesman in a department store.  In 1918, he was an assistant silk buyer for the J.W. Robinson Co. in downtown Los Angeles.  He and Dora now had their own home, located at 1034 S. St. Andrews Place, Los Angeles.

The 1920 USA census record indicated that Milton and Dora owned the home free of a mortgage.  By the 1930 USA census, Milton was the owner of his own retail silk shop, and Dora worked as a saleswoman in the shop.  The couple did not have children.

In 1924, Milton and his wife Dora were registered to vote as Democrats.  By 1936, Milton had retired, and their party affiliation had changed to Republican.  In the 1940 USA census, their home was valued at $5,000.

Milton died 13 Feb 1944.  Masonic funeral services were held at Pierce Brothers Chapel, Washington Blvd., Los Angeles.  Dora continued to live in their family residence.  She died 1 Dec 1878.  Her services were held in the Little Church of the Flowers at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale.  Both are buried there.
