"ST. GEORGE -- Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. for
Vera Hinton Eagar, 77, of Saint George, who died of natural causes on
Saturday, Jan. 8, 1977 in St. George.
A sister, Mrs. Frank (Alma) Cole, lives in Nephi.
She was born in Aug. 14, 1899 in Hinckley, Millard County, to
Thomas Maurice and Wilhelmina Walker Hinton. She married Thomas Eagar
on Sept. 25, 1918 in the St. George LDS Temple. He died.
Mrs. Eagar was active in the LDS Church.
Survivors include four daughters and one son, Mrs. Rex (Barbara) Dunton and
Mrs. Henry (Melba) Empey, both of St. George; Mrs. Howe (Lana) Merrill, Tulsa, Okla; Mrs. Raymond (Nedra)
Demple, Hayden Lake, Ida., and Dellin Eagar, Crystal Lake, Ill; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren;
three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Alma) Cole, Nephi;
Mrs. Tim (Lela) Hoyt, Hurricane, and Mrs. Harris (Lucille) Gubler,
Bountiful.
Services will be in St. George Second LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call
at Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary on Wednesday two hours prior to services. Burial will be in
Hurricane Cemetery."
