"GLOBE - Fred R. Smith Jr., 86,
who had been a master mechanic for Inspiration Consolidated Copper Co., died
July 8, 1984, at Valley Lutheran Hospital, Mesa.
Mr. Smith, of Globe, was born in Tillamook, Ore., and moved
to Arizona in 1955 from Colorado. He had served in the Navy in World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel; sons
Fred, Richard and Charles; a sister and two brothers; eight grandchildren; and
nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Palmer Globe
Mortuary, where services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday."

"GLOBE - Mable C. Smith, 87,
a homemaker, died Aug. 12, 1986, in Apache Junction. Mrs. Smith, of Globe,
was born in Victor, Colo., and moved to Arizona 27 years ago. She was a member
of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Pythian Sisters. Survivors include
sons Fred III, Richard and Charles; nine grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today, with
services at 11 a.m. Friday, at Palmer Globe Mortuary, 328 S. Hill."
