There Will Be a Theatrical Feast at the Battery D Benefit Next Friday Public feeling in favor of the great Battery D benefit to be given at the Orpheum next Friday afternoon is beginning to roll along like a tidal wave, and indications point to an audience that will pack the Main street playhouse to the last possible linit of standing room. Little Gounod Romandy, son of the late leader of the Orpheum orchestra, will offer his services in benefit of Battery D. The young prodigy will be escorted to the leader's chair by Director Frankenstein, and Gounod will seize the baton in command, the orchestra will start up with a crash and — the house will come down about the ears of little Gounod. 9. Master Gounod Romandy, the little 6-year-old son of the well known orchestra leader, the late Dion Romandy. (The first volunteer to come forward and offer his services for the benefit to Battery D.) | ||||
